THE PROJECT :
What are we now? Are we still ourselves?
From one renunciation to another, we’ve let go of what makes life worth living, what makes up our personality.
We think we’re unique and integral, yet we’re made up of bits and pieces that don’t quite fit together.
Have we forgotten the intense joys and flamboyant energy of our inner selves?
My animal sculptures are in search of this energy.
Through the representation of the animal figure, they question our identity.
They hold up a mirror to our inner self, which is candid, strong and joyful.
